Its been a long election. What started out as a sign of change in the country in 2008 turned into a sign of insanity in 2010 when the Republican party won the house and started their anti-Obama crusade. I sat back and was shocked at the obstructive ideology and unwillingness to work with the President by John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell so they could make Obama a one term President. I was angered at all the finger pointing by Republicans saying the economy was all Obamas fault not once looking back at their parties greatest failure in G.W. Bush. I was appalled at the accusations by the Tea Party and the comments of "Muslim, Communist, Socialist, Kenyan, and the N word" directed at our President with not one ounce of respect for the badge of office. I was dismayed at the amount of money funnelled into the Republican Party by the super rich who attempted to buy our Government for their own personal gain. And I was angered by the out right lying by Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to the nation. At a time I thought their was no hope for this country. Then I looked at America as a whole. I saw that we are a nation of diversity, a nation of diverse religions, a nation of diverse lifestyles, a nation of diverse color and creed, a nation formed by the poor and downtrodden of our world. I knew then that this nation could not fall to the bigotry which I felt was the message of the Republican Party. I knew that this nation would not allow our government to be dictated by a single religious ideology. And I felt a sense of calm and rejuvenation when our President won his long battle for re-election which I am proud to have been a part of. Now is the time for the infighting to be over. It is a time for all Americans to come together and stand behind the President. Its time for the Republicans to let go of all the negativity they have screamed at America so hard for the last 2 years. Its time to stop all the propaganda pushed by those who look to gain financially off the backs of the middle class. And its time for America to heal. The days of Bush and his policies, his tax cuts for the rich, and his wars will soon be over. Its time for corporations to invest in America and not their personal profit margins. Its time for women to make their own choices about their bodies and not a group of old men to make it for them. Its time for homosexuals to decide who they will spend their lives with and not a group of religious extremist to say what they can't do. Its time for Christians to see that they are not the only religion in America. And its time for angry white men to know their days of making decisions for the people are over. Its time for the Republican Party to change. To be open to new ideas. To be more moderate and less extremist and to move a little more to the left. This is the 21st century and the 47% has spoken!!! We will not be dictated by the affluent. This is a nation of WE THE PEOPLE, not WE THE REPUBLICAN TEA PARTY. This is a nation of LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, not LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR PEOPLE LIKE US. Its a new day America!!!! LEARN IT, LIVE IT, and LOVE IT!!!!! God bless President Obama and the United States of America. Lets move FORWARD!!!!!!
